Does the beveled edge of the granite chip easily?

I've heard that a rounded edge is the safest. Is there really any difference?

This is an Ogee Edge profile on granite countertops. The ogee does look very elegant and enhances the granite. If one edge were to chip, usually any edge would be just as easy to chip. Under regular use however, you should have no problem. Sometimes we do trade shows, so as we move the booth that can happen (and even then it's unlikely and if it does, it can be easily fixed). It may depend on the stone ( i.e granite vs. marble). In your case being in a residential home, I would not worry about it as granite is very dense and tough. Hope this helps!

It should be. If not, there may be something similar.
