Kitchen countertop dilemma
kclaraFebruary 6, 2013
My 1978 kitchen needs a facelift. The cabinets are a dark oak, and they are staying as is except for new hardware. The kitchen is rather small, with a light floor. Would light or dark granite be the best? My head is spinning with all of the choices. Thanks Kathy

Just a general rule, dark cabinets works best with light countertops.

As light as you can get and still like it. I'm using a white granite I do not know the name. It has a bit of metallic mica in it. Silvers, gold and greys but mostly white it looks great. I have not yet picked my slabs though.
