I say get what you like! I think a 5 panel would look so much nicer.

At least you agree on panels at all! Mid-century modern doesn't really equate with paneled doors for me....but that's me! If you do the five panel are you going shaker or ogee at the stile and rail?

Most Md-century modern would be cherry veneer flush doors. If your going back to craftsmen which predates this style by a number of years you could use one of these.

Maybe this would be a compromise.
