How high is this bathtub from the floor to the top of the tub? About 36"?

I'm putting a 21" deep tub in a condo and the plumber says it will end up being about 36" to 37" high, so we are building a 12" step. I'm concerned about the aesthetic of the whole thing. The counters of the sinks are 36" high.
