Natalie Kirkpatrick Design, LLC Yes, this is a drop ceiling by Armstrong. There was already a drop ceiling in place so we used the original frame and replaced the tiles with new coffered drop in tiles.
mjotanovic It is gorgeous. I'm thinking of using these tiles for a room in my basement, however, the room is odd shaped (i.e. not square or rectangle). Thus, many cuts to tiles will need to be made.
Any recommendations to NOT use it given my odd / shaped space?
Natalie Kirkpatrick Design, LLC It is difficult to cut the tiles because they are not flat. We actually had a drywall border (ceiling) that ran around the edge of the framework for the drop in ceiling. We, too, had to deal with an angled section. So think of it as this....the coffered drop in ceiling portion is a large rectangle with a drywall border around it. Does this make sense? My carpenters shifted the existing framework to accommodate this.
Natalie Kirkpatrick Design, LLC I don't...we ordered it through a local tile store but google Armstrong drop in ceiling tiles and you can locate a retailer in your area. Ours was special order.
