Drop In Bathroom Sinks
February 12, 2013
I am using a console table as an open vanity in my new bath. I want to install two drop in sinks but don't want the base of the sinks to show underneath. I know that the pipes will be exposed, but I don't want the sinks hanging out. I've measured 6" from top of table to bottom of apron (?). I'm having a hard time finding shallow drop in sinks. Any advice???

Try a Sonoma sink where part of the vessel is above and part is below: http://www.sonomastone.com/residential-concrete/concrete-vessel-sinks/page-01.html

That is a great suggestion! I do not know of any other shallow drop-in sinks--plus, a very shallow sink may not be all that functional.

Another alternative, if you are handy or know of someone who is, would be to extend that "apron" piece. You could possibly replace that piece of wood with one that is cut to a larger size to allow for a deeper sink.
