Paint color

I am doing some remodeling for the purpose of selling my home. I am putting in new tile floor and repainting all the main living areas. I have not picked out paint or tile, but plan to go with a light tile (but not straight white)
I would like suggestions on the most popular paint neutral colors: The home is a ranch with open floor plan and 8' ceilings. It has lots of windows but still seems dark so definately a brightening color!

Lowes actually has little tags that show the most popular colors where their paint chips are. Valspar or Olympic (I forget which) has a nice color called heavy cream. Light, but not white. Enough color to show up against white trim or good with wood trim too.
