Should I white wash my home? or paint the brick? Its hard to imagine what would work with my green metal roof. shutter colors and trim etc.

A creamy tan or even khaki paint should look nice with the black shutters, red door and green roof. Paint the white siding above the double window black or the new paint color. All white might be too stark. First pic is a nice, creamy, tan tone. Don't go too yellow in a tan! or too green with a khaki-think milky/cream. Behr has an interior color called Creamy Mushroom that looks nice on screen~2nd pic. It's an interior color but any color can be used in an exterior based paint.

A tin roof doesn't seem to work well on a Ranch style house to me, but it is what it is.

I suggest you paint the entire body, including the soffits, keeping it neutral. Here are some recommendations:

1) House body: http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/cumuluscloud
Trim: http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/squirreltail shutters

2) House body: http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/blanchedalmond
Trim: http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/plymouthbrown

These colors will work for the door with both of these color schemes: http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/fallharvest http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/burntcaramel

If you are not replacing the storm door it should be painted the same color as the entrance door.

Do u have 2 different brick colors? It looks like they are not the same on my screen...wondering if u could match up a white wash if this is the case?

Jayme it is two different style brick which adds to my dilemma. I want to white wash but worried, I'm also considering slate grey and white trim and shutters with different shade of red door.

Joey...white wash won't work. It won't be enough to hide the difference in the brick. That was the reason I said to paint. Did you click on the links I posted? The soft gray would help tone down the green.

And, just so you know, the roof could be painted!

Becky, I like those colors, wife doesn't. I think shutters and door with a wood finish would look good with the khaki. She likes grey paint or white wash.

Janishil painting the roof sounds expensive and difficult and scary ha, every time I look at the difference in brick it drives me crazy.

I did janishil but those dark colors for trim don't work for me. Like the grey, would white trim and grey body work?

I suggest that you bring the green of the roof to the front of the house somewhere!... Either in the shutters or door...that would tie the two together and give a more cohesive look! PAINT THAT BRICK :-)

Joey...that trim color will just be a little trim board under the edge of the roof and the shutters if you desire. You could have white shutters and trim with the grey body color...or go with taupe and paint the shutters the same green as the roof.. Well maybe a couple of shades darker.

I grew up in a 100 year old house with a tin roof. My dad had it painted every 8 or 10 years if I remember correctly.

Janishil, I love the Taupe. Happy balance between khaki and grey.

Paint only the brick on the smaller part of the house.
