Want to replace a bathtub with a tiled shower and tiled bench. In a condo so can't move the plumbing. Anyone know of a high quality, user friendly pre-fab solution?

You can't move the plumbing because you probably have a precast concrete slab, you can however install a shower flange to the existing tub drain pipe and slope the shower to that flange. I've done this, with permits, and the inspector allowed it because of the associations restrictions.

Question. Why can't you move the drain? You cant move the plumbing because you are assuming or were told that you cant or its not possible. As Norm said, you may be on concrete slab? If its wood framing with traditional wood floor joists, its highly likely that you can. Drains are the bigger issue, hot and cold supplies not so much

The drain is not so much an issue as the desire to purchase a pre-fab pan with bench that fits the space, 30 x 62 and can be tiled.

I am assuming the unit is not on the first floor and has a reinforced concrete slab which can't be comprised. A prefab unit is a good idea but the chances of the drain lining up is not good. Even when changing out same size tubs the drains don't line up.
