Clean up: House Renovation

We have a house that was abandoned for 8 years, during which time bats got in and literally covered everything in guano. The floors, bathroom, cupboards (wood), countertops (wood), sinks, everything.

Should we dump everything? or just the porous stuff (like the wood counter tops, cabinets, cupboards) or can everything be salvaged?

Any advice will be much appreciated.
Thank you!

First off, take professional advice for how to stay safe while you clean and remediate. County health may have helpful local info. Bat droppings (possibly mixed with rat, possum, bird, who knows) can carry some nasty and even lethal diseases like salmonella, plague, hantavirus, what have you. Don't breathe in any dust - wear a respirator and decontaminate yourself and your clothes and shoes properly after each work session.

After shovelling out all the mess into proper containment for disposal, I'd wet sponge with dilute chlorine bleach (sponge wrung until just barely damp), then allow time for thorough drying. Then, again with a respirator, I'd sand or scour with a stiff bristle brush every surface in sight that I was trying to save - counters, drywall, what have you. Vacuum up dust and damp/dry sponge again, this time with clear water and dry again.

Then evaluate where you are.
