Fireplace remodel help!
midwestrehabberFebruary 18, 2013
I need some ideas of how to fix up this fireplace. The brick has patchy concrete all over it from a really ugly faux stone the previous owners did so painting it is not an option. I will probably tile it but need suggestions on what to do. I'm open to all colors just want to keep it authentic looking for my 1920s house.

You might consider purchasing a wood, stone, or faux stone fireplace mantel/surround and then tile the area area the firebox opening. If you google fireplace surrounds you will see what they look like.
