HELP! we are renting a home and not sure just how far I can go decorating.
I know I can paint the walls. My problem is what color and how to tone down the kitchen cupboard color. The cupboards are oak. The kitchen has a drop ceiling and the cross bars are oak. The ceramic tiles are peachy/pink color.
The house is out of the Eighties.

Do you have any photos of what the kitchen currently looks like ?

I would paint the walls off-white since this kitchen doesn't need any more beige tones. Consider adding a rug under the dining table as well to warm up the space.
