Need Ideas For TV Above Fireplace So Not So Obvious
February 20, 2013
I want to put my 46" flat screen above the fireplace but hate the look. I want an attractive different look to either enhance the the TV or camouflage it all together. Any IDEAS??????

Depending on your decorating style, you can have a cabinet made in any wood, including painted white or black; whichever would go with your color scheme. Chrysteen

barn doors are a great way to hide it or you can make bifold doors out of plywood and make it so you can hang pictures on it.

here are some ideas

If you don't want doors you can get a decorative frame for it. Hang the TV. Get a larger frame and hang it around the screen. It should be bigger than the TV. You are not trying to match the size of the screen. I've seen this done with an ornate frame that was painted the same color as the wall it was hanging on. It was very striking and matching the wall looked great. In this case it was a taupe/green.
