Half wall. Wainscoting
Argh - I did not listen to myself - always bad idea. Small bathroom, half wall to separate toilet from shower. Shower to be tiled in white 3x6 subway. Half wall 45 inches tall, not counting short caesarstone that will top it. Thought to continue tile around wall and carry through room, using as backsplash as well. Concern that 1/2 wall is too high to continue wainscoting look through room; would prefer it was 42 inches, especially so there would not be 9 inches of backsplash.
Posting pic, don't know if helpful, as room down to studs( except for shower, which has truly been "set in cement"). BTW, I am assuming taking 3-4 inches off wall now would be major job? Thanks in advance- I'm sure I will be posting more.

Creations Nadia Interior Design you can put your subway tiles on a top of wainscoting?:))) otherwise i would make that 1/2 wall shorter :))

koehlej Towards the shower tile all the way to the ceiling. Towards the toilet I wouldn't do wainscoting but maybe do a nice wallpaper as a focal point.

Kelli Kaufer Designs I personally like wainscotting at a higher height, low is the old traditional look.

rockyrocky7 I suggest not continuing the tile past the wrap around the half wall. Can you add a header?
