Decorating around oak cabinets.

I am trying to decorate around these oak cabinets. The other two kitchens pictured are styles I love. What do you think of the color palette I found? Do you think it would work with the oak cabinets and my style?

I love that green palette!

I don't really mind oak cabinets if they're a current style and not too orange. Yours appear to be very current and the color seems pretty good as well. I think those greens would give it just the life it needs. The door sample on your storyboard works really well with all the other colors there. The green really seems to work well with the oak.

The white kitchen is nice. But there are a LOT of oakpaintedwhite kitchens out there right now. I can imagine walking into that green kitchen every morning and smiling!

My vote is for the green.

Could be fun but 2 totally different looks with the white cabinets. You could do the green on the walls and get a backpslash, see how it looks with the oak cabinets. If you don't like it then you can paint!

I would avoid using green in any of your major concrete items, IE: counter tops or other items that are not easy to change. Keep the color in the kitchen with fruit and accessories....Keep the main core of the room neutral.

Thanks for the input! All good thoughts. If I use green on the walls and maybe some green in the backsplash, what color do you suggest I do in the countertop? A Light or dark color?

Here's what I think - the green for the walls that you selected was just too dark, but the fabric is the saving grace and I love the corian but think it may be a bit too high contrast with your cabinets - you need a celery green for the walls. If you want green tops, see if you can find one like the lightest tile in your inspiration board - kind of a grellow! Keep it light like the floor.

If you are not changing the floor, then a light color picking the floor colors will tie in your kitchen together.
