Finishing touches - living room and master bedroom
I've just finished a major reno and need help with finishing touches.
The living room is dramatic with an African theme. What to do for wall hangings? Big, bold art? or?? Suggestions welcome.
Master bedroom is french grey, with oriental blue/grey rug, silver grey blinds and light fixtures. What to do to finish and warm up the room - drape? Colours? Headboard colour/material? Suggestions wanted and welcome.
 
Patricia Pelgrims I'll start with the bedroom. Whilst it is a calm and soothing colour scheme you have, I think you could do some more with layering of various textures. Bring that in through chenille type scatter cushions and par example a faux fur throw/blanket. Also a headboard is a must and you could really make it into a focal point with a silken fabric of your choice, whithout going for garish colours. Keep the tones of your existing colours, but use different fabrics.
What I would also do is put some large pots with lush foliage on the balcony.
And yes, maybe a simple voile/sheer curtain.

georgealexander I plan to turn the bed to face the window, so need free standing headboard - finished both sides - silken fabric one side? wood the other? I like your comments so far. tks
