Need help choosing the colour to paint my 1965 red brick fireplace

it takes up one total wall of a 19x14 family room. Laying dark handscraped hickory wood floors. Painting the walls a light neutral taupe colour and the trim antique white.

If you want the red brick to disappear, paint it the same color as the walls. Want see it done? See if you can catch the Lowe's latest (painting) commercial. Painting it the trim color will make it an accent especially since the trim is usually semi-gloss. I have done both. Remember you will have to seal it first with kilz to after cleaning with tsp to remove any smoke residue, I'm assuming that it was a used wood burning fireplace.
