Is this a DIY project? I would start with a good primer(Benjamin Moore ,Fine paints of Europe,) great paint from any of mentioned companies C2 also just came out with there cabinet and trim paint great stuff one of the greenest products out on the market.

Well not me exactly but my husband. He's a bit of a handy man but ....
We've started with the bathroom cabinets as it's a much smaller job and he's primed, filled and did the first coat of paint today. Thought we'd start there because it's a much smaller project.

Good idea make sure you use quality paint it will last longer and look best.

Color of cabinets will depend on counter top color and other features like type of floor etc. Uploading Pictures will help.
