Is this an engineered wood floor & did you have to do a floating floor with it?

We wanted to do the same thing but because we have infloor heat they said it wasn't possible.

For in floor heating the best species is White Oak in a Quarter Sawn cut. This can also be hand scraped and stained to match this floor. I would say you have more options than you are being told about.
