chandelier placement

We have two 20" chandeliers to hang above a 112" table. What would be the best placement?

My rule of thumb is to go equidistant from the centre - basically 28" (112/2/2) in from either end will assure even light over both "halves" of your table.
But always depends on how it ultimately looks - I have been known to bend that rule...
