It looks like the lights are mounted on the mirror. Is that possible?

Holes are just cut in the glass to access the stud space behind it.

You have to be careful of wattage when placing sconces on a mirror. We recommend sconces with an arm to get the heat away from the mirror so it doesn't crack from the heat.
