Help decorating tip

Few months ago my sister told me about this web site and I love it.
I am about to finish redecorating my 6 yr old boys room and I used different ideas from different designers I printed some pictures and I made my own album and piced what I liked from each picture. The only questions is how much is too much when using the focal point or color of the room? should it be like 10%,20%? Its a captain theme and red is what I am using to bring out the color together. There is going to be one big wall color in blue stripes like the pic below other walls will be all blue.

Please let me know what you think.

I love having an accent wall and stripes are a great way to go. I don't go by percent- go by what you think. It's a little boys room. Have fun

If your blue is a bold blue, I think you will find the white stripes a welcome relief on the one wall. For a less intense impression, three walls in blue and white stripes and one in bold blue will work better. If it is a light blue, then it is a different all boils down to intense (saturated) colours o the wall.

This might be of help
