question about painting baseboard trim

kmarsekMarch 4, 2013
We have a very modern townhouse with simple baseboards and no trim anywhere else (other than staircase). Should we paint the baseboards the same color as the wall paint in each room, or assign one color for the baseboards that runs consistent throughout the house? Our living room/dining room/kitchen is a very light gray. The media room (lower level) is chocolate, and the bedrooms (top floor) have yet to be painted. The trim is nothing special, but I don't want to have to repaint it each time we change a rooms color... Any advice would be appreciated. thanks.

The room color would be fine. If you paint the walls with a flat finish you might want to go with the same color but in an eggshell finish fo rthe trim.
