The Classic NE Triple Decker
Hello, I own a condo in a Boston area triple decker. I've struggled with design and I've found very little in the way of picture, tips, examples. So, I wanted to start a conversation here. I'll try to upload some pictures and a floor plan. Challenges for me include a kitchen with four doorways and an odd shaped living room, all rooms have classic steam radiators.

Interiors International, Inc. It sounds like you would really benefit from hiring a designer. They will most likely save you money and stress in the long run.

the essentials inside Interiors International, Inc. is right -- hiring a designer is a great idea, especially since you have such a tricky layout & the steam radiators.

Of course, we Houzzers can also help w/ideas as well as finding a designer. Pictures & a floor plan would be very helpful so if you can upload when you get a chance, that would be great!

Love the photos in your ideabook. You have very nice taste!

ajlphoenix Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I'm not able to get my husband to sign on for that.

ajlphoenix Besides, I'm a DIYer and I like to work on this stuff. I'm hoping other triple deckers will chime in with their design experiences.

ajlphoenix Here's a photo of our new couch. Our entry door (open in this pic) is to the left and the windows face front. The living room is a rectangle and the wall you are looking at is on the long side. I'll post more photos very soon.

Thanks so much for the complement!

lewis + smith Your money will go farther with a clear plan and conceptual idea of what you are after. Here is a project we did in the north end. We have an office in Boston and Seattle. If you would like to discuss what we can do for you please give a ring.
