I tracked it down after I posted my question. Benjamin Moore cumulus cotton and its fabulous, especially for porch ceiling

the reasoning behind the porch ceiling being painted blue is so that birds do not create nests in the corners because they think it is the sky! neat thought...

The reason for the blue ceiling is to ward off spirits called Haints. This is a Gullah tradition in coastal southern areas.

We used it (cumulus cotton) on our cabana ceiling and it looks just like the picture even a year later.
