What to do with the corner of a room?!
We have just got new couches and have ended up with a big empty corner in our lounge. The house is small with little storage, so the space needs to be utilised. Weve currently got a little cabinet which is super ugly. It would be great if there were some ideas on storage ideas for the corner of a room. Thanks!
macrury You could install 3 floating shelves in white (IKEA ), that would finish where the top of your cabinet begins. Place your photos on the shelf, a few books, don't overcrowd. Looks like you could fit a small end table beside the sofa on the long wall with a more interesting lamp. Lower the mirror slightly behind the couch and center it. Hope that helps.

redheadedwmn How about an interesting corner storage type unit? Adding baskets, lets you store lots of items without having the cluttered look

pammysue123 you can go and purchase some matching bookcases and put them on either side of the sofas butted up to one another to form a "corner piece" get the finish in a dark color wood to stand out and make a statement. keep their height lower than the sofas themselves and place a floor lamp in the empty corner behind (that isn't filled with the shelving pieces)...the lamp will also help to hide the speaker on the wall.
