Best way to paint concrete

I have a concrete mantle to go with my stone fireplace, and it all blends together. I would like to paint the mantle. What is the best way to do that?

There are paints specifically for concrete, however the colors are limited. Go speak to someone at your paint store or speak to a faux finisher about the process, because proper prep is critical. You will want a multi-toned finish so it looks better than one ftone color. Good luck, I hope it turns out wonderful.

I hadn't thought of that. I'll look into it. Thanks!
