Need Help: Large Wall, Small Furniture
hi - we are in need of some help. We have a 16' wide by roughly 16' tall wall in our living room and having trouble figuring out what to do with it. We currently have a TV armoire and toys :) The armoire was great in our other house as the wall and ceilings were smaller. Any suggestions on what we could do? I like the idea of hiding the TV with the armoire. There is already a fireplace on the other wall. Please help :)

Keitha Looks as if you have a return air vent that shouldn't be blocked on the right. I suggest purchasing 2 console tables to put on either side of your existing entertainment center, a lamp for each table and large piece of artwork to go over each. Then get 2 tall baskets to go underneath each table to provide toy storage. This would fill the space, give visual interest and add light to the area.

Naomi Frash Possibly (because I can't see the opposite wall), switch the tv and sofa (the one directly opposite the tv) then hang the frame and image above the couch on the wall. Place the family portrait (on the tv) on the mantel. :)

Interiors by Kristina Paint walls above lower ceiling level to match ceiling.

onetomatoplant Is it possible to replace the entertainment cabinet with something short and long rather than tall? I don't know how to do links yet, but Pottery Barn has a Printers collection and it's basically cabinets - you can mix and match. Put your tv on top of them and some artwork over your tv.

kloeffelholz The wall on the opposite side opens up to the rest of the house, there are only two walls in this room. I appreciate everyone's help!! :)
