I need to get rid of these outdated window treatments/leaf work! What can I use for this area that is more modern? Thanks!

More pictures of the entire room would be helpful. And not so dark

Here is the view from the nook to the kitchen. Sorry for the blurry view.

That is a great kitchen. In the nook you have lots of options. First thought, as you have a rather contemporary/transitional look would be to suggest woven wood Roman shades..clean look but with great texture and so many from which to choose. Second, 4 simple, plain drapery panels maybe with large grommets hung high (95/96" panels). Whatever your choice..keep it simple and not over done.

Are you overlooking someone's backyard or open fields/wooded? If wooded, I would go with no treatments and have UV film added to your windows if facing south.

I really like the ideas! Thanks! If I was to go with 4 plain drapery panels, what color would work best?

Wood blinds added if you need privacy or bamboo type shades?
