Wood look tile has exploded in popularity over the last 12-18 months. Ragno Taiga is part of the Marazzi Group founded in Italy about 60 years ago. The Europeans have dominated the porcelain stone industry (and that is the difference this is porcelain) and with a very, very level floor and rectified tile you can create very, very narrow gout joints to 1/8th of an inch.

Today there are more and more factories putting pressure on the price point which has been held high at around $6.00 square foot for decades. An example of the price change would be our Woodstone Tile collection. Offering matching rectified 6x24" and 6x36" tile with a P.E.I. rating of IV. The 6x24" os $2.35 square foot and $2.95 square foot for the the 6x36" available here: http://www.thebuilderdepot.com/woodstone.html
