Exterior home painting WIP

We have decided to paint our home with SW Perfect Beige. The piedmont is perfect beige that has been darkened. The trim is SW creamy.

Any ideas on what color we should paint our door? I was thinking SW Naval... any suggestions on exterior lights? We have an attached 2-car garage just to the right of the house. Definitely looking at black finish exterior lighting.

What colour of perennials are you going to add in your landscaping?

I'd tie your favorite flowers into the colour of your exterior door - as well as what accent colour your going to bring inside your home - good luck.

How about a deep turquoise or teal? There is not way around it, green thumb or not, you will eventually do some gardening. I would save the color for the garden, and use the house as the backdrop to it.

Turquiose/teal is definitely something I've been wondering about. I have a few paint chips and will get some samples tomorrow. In the future I hope to replace those ugly builder grade doors forever!

Isn't a red door good Feng Shui?

All things in time, lol. Do both sides open? Maybe you could get some interesting door knobs for both doors, or pulls even if the left one stays closed. And maybe a nice set of doorknockers that's theme is something you like. (Birds, shells, nautical. something "Florida."There are so many different things available. With a little bling, maybe you won't mind your builder grade doors as much.

I will definitely replace the door knobs once I paint the door. Both doors open. Door on the left has the 2 latches on the inside that you need to unlock before door swings open though.

With the palm trees situated the way they are..they are a missed opportunity to bring your walkway through them. No green thumb needed with stone and low maintenance greenery. Check out Sherwin Williams Library Pewter for doors...even an eggplant will pick up the taupe tone of the house color.

Here are purple options and a color palette to chose from with the second picture.

Yes, the doors are colonial style, while the house is contemporary. Not a good match. When you have some extra room in your budget go for some more appropriately styled doors. They will provide a lot of curb appeal. If you don't mind the extra sun and light, perhaps consider doors that are a thick textured/patterned/frosted glass.

Any suggestions on exterior lights? I will need 1 hanging pendant above door..and 2 wall lights on either side of garage....Definitely thinking a black finish for lights.

Why not refinish them to a darker stain

They are cheap builder grade metal doors. We will replace them in the future.
