what are those floors??????

Thank you for your interest in this project. The floors in this mud room are 12x18 Black Ash Slate with a natural cleft meaning they are left relatively rough. Even though they are not smooth, they're not to rough for a quick mopping. The counters are Steel Gray Slate that has been honed and polished for a smooth finish. Both are almost indestructible and used for science lab tables because of their durability.

Jeffrey, because of the weight and shipping costs, I would suggest finding a local supplier depending on the quantities needed. We use a company in Houston called Thorntree Slate. (http://www.thorntreeslate.com) They are a great resource for any natural stone products.
