This is a very large room with 2 sets of sliding glass doors. The walls are beige. I'm not looking for anything heavy or dark. I even like the idea of using sheers alone. The pillows can be changed but the carpet has to stay.
I've discovered that not all colors look good with beige!

Do you have room for a stack back on each set of sliders?Any privacy issues? Can't see the ceiling and that often helps determine what to do. May I suggest you put the front legs of both sofas on the rug and remove the small blue rug? Post more pics here by commenting and using the Attach Images button below the comment box.

Sheer Shades would be an great option. They are sheer for view through but the vanes can also be closed for privacy. http://www.blindsgalore.com/products.asp?id=sheer-shades/window-shades/

Panel Tracks, Vertical Blinds, or Vertical Cellular shades would also work for these doors. http://www.blindsgalore.com/products.asp?id=patio-sliding-doors/
