I'm new to wallcoverings. do you necessarily need a large design for wide and tall rooms?

Is it common to use a patterned wallcovering for one wall and a coordinating color for the remaining? I need to cover some imperfections on walls.
Thanks!

I'm not a big fan of patterned wallpapers - to me they usually tire the owner after a few months use. I do suggest to cover wall imperfections with a paintable vinyl wall paper that has a slight texture to it. You can choose from multiple patterns and then paint in the color of your choice

Thanks so much!! I've been thinking about what you suggested and I am taking it to heart...I removed the large painting over the sofa and realize how huge the wall is... the only wallpaper I adore is nama rococo but it is so expensive for a large wall...
