what storage is used under these ikea loft beds? Were they built or bought?

I sincerely doubt those are IKEA - I think the entire installation was custom-fabricated for the space

They do look just like a bunk bed IKEA carries if it were mounted on a custom made storage platform, and with a matching wood panel (and curtains) added across the top rails. i.e. It would not be hard to duplicate this look with an IKEA bed.

If you look closely - the lack of visible fasteners, slim profile of the timbers and flush joinery in this installation are far different from the overlapping elements, exposed Allen-head screws and chunkier rails of the IKEA bed...
...which is why I said this is very unlikely to be a modified IKEA piece.

Those are indeed IKEA beds -- the make is the KURA loft bed:

The storage underneath is custom.

This is the response from the folks who created the room:
Hi and thanks for all the nice comments!
The beds are indeed kura beds from Ikea!

We covered the blue side of the panels with white-washed faux wood adhesive plastic sheets. The storage underneath is custom built, the drawers are on wheels and can be pulled around. This way we added a lot of storage and it's also very easy for the kids to keep their toys organized: one drawer for Lego, one for playmobil etc.
