What is the grouting?

Isn't this floor gorgeous? I did a bit of digging, and the only information I could find was from Birger Juell's site (http://www.birgerjuell.com/). They say that all of their cobbleblock/cobblewood floors are made from pine, oak, and mesquite in new and reclaimed timbers. The pieces are squared off, sliced cross grain, hand beveled, hand sanded, triple oiled, and then installed with grout. I've also found a few other examples of their work online, where they finished this flooring with a wax sealant. Hope that helps!
