Living room furniture and built in dilemma
March 24, 2013 in Design Dilemma
Furniture: I am unsure whether to purchase a chaise sectional sofa (for the far right hand corner) or a sofa and two chairs (sofa would go between both windows). As this is the family room we want comfortable arrangement good for entertaining guests and watching TV. Which would fit best?

Built in: I want a built in for the cut out on the left hand side but am contemplating extending the built in to include shallow library shelving on the wall with the picture to create a reading nook (I've always wanted a library and have been collecting used books from all our travels which I'd like to display). My husband is afraid it will make the room look small. I'm not to worried thinking it will make the space more quaint and cozy. Any thoughts?

FYI the room is open to the breakfast nook and kitchen.
