Which size floor tile would be better for a foyer [6 1/2' x 10'], kitchen and laundry room - 13" x13" or 20" x 20"?

Either would work. The smaller tiles will be easier to install.

We have a small entry hall in our condo. Our contractor suggested 12 X 12 tiles. It gives us about 2+ tiles across the hallways. I think it makes the rooms look bigger, rather than using a smaller tile. Also easier to clean. Suggest a larger size floor-board too.

In general large sized tiles convey a more contemporary design.

My contractor said either would be fine with him. Since my decor is NOT contemporary...I'm choosing the 13" x13" size. Thanks for your help - much appreciated!
