    Hello!

Yes, these are the Luca doors from DIY Kitchens (the article says B&Q but it's incorrect). Such a good choice! I used the Crystal White Duropal laminate worktop (also from DIY Kitchens).

Laminate wouldn't normally be my first choice but Duropal is manufactured in Germany to high design standards and gets great reviews. This project completed 18 months ago and we haven't had any problems with it at all.

Corian is another option, although A LOT more expensive. A less expensive but very similar product is Hi-Macs which is worth looking at if you can stretch to a more luxe product.

    Good luck with your project!

    Hi

Photographs can be deceptive and, as specialists in stainless steel worktops, GEC Anderson are not usually heard to espouse the virtues of other worksurface materials. But, for interest, please see the attached snap shot. Unfortunately, the image quality is poor but it shows a compact kitchen with a combination that I thought was so unlikely but very effective: stainless steel base cabinets and drawers with thick, square cut polar white Corian worktops. The architect was Nick Coombe of SCA and the project was in Chelsea, around 2004
