Need help with color accessories
March 29, 2013 in Design Dilemma
We're in a rental and aren't allowed to paint. I really don't like the bedroom color and have no idea what colors I can use to work with it. Help!!!

I don't know what your style is, but I would combine your teal colour with neutrals - grey or a stony beige - which would perhaps tone down the teal. If was using neutral accessories I would try to get a range of textures (ie in the bed linen) to add depth to the overall look. A couple of silver bedside lamps and silver frames on the wall would look great too!

Consider Accent Lighting with colored lights to override the existing color, or to work with the color to add even more pop. A wall sculpture with colored lights can help greatly. This sculpture is a hanging piece, but I have sold wall pieces similar to it.
