Laying patio stones

Can I put patio stones up against the house will there b a grading problem with water?

you can place patio pavers/stones next to a house as long as you are planning your drainage away from the home carefully. If you have an eave without gutters above, you will obviously have issues. Better to have a gutter and downspout that delivers water to a planned location. The elevation of the patio in relation to the surrounding area should also be taken into consideration. If it is sunken, you need to have a place to drain water to.
