Are the shelves made by the same company?
How about the raised butcher block?

Hi Tina, the raised butcher block (just a bar, in fact) is also made by MatPel. The shelves are a joint effort between myself (design to fit all the elements), us+family (cleanup of reclaimed wood from old roof structure and various scraps from the renovation) and the contractor (installation). The idea to use threaded rods for suspension was given by the contractor, with whom we worked very closely. These are 3/8" rough rough-steel rods that come in long sections, available at hardware stores.

Hi felmo, the door inserts are from Richelieu:

They are held in place with small wood trims made from the same recycled wood as the rest of the cabinets.

I'm attaching a picture of the inside of a door so you can see the details.

Many thanks! Am not sure if available here in Australia but will check site out. Love your work. Too many homes today haven't a soul or much character. Yours is abundant with both! Cheers - Michele
