Bathroom ventilation: place vent unit inside or outside of enclosed shower?
April 8, 2013 in Design Dilemma
Our master bathroom is being renovated and we are designing a glass shower enclosure that will go from the floor to the ceiling. Because my husband loves hot showers, it will get pretty steamy in the shower. So my question is: should the vent be located inside the shower or is it fine to have a shower enclosure that will be steamed up with a vent right outside of it? I just want to avoid mold and mildew build up but I don't want to short out the vent if it is not supposed to get moist. Any technical tips would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.
