Painting an older home (1976) dark wood trim white
April 9, 2013 in Design Dilemma
Is it possible to paint windows and casings white on an older home and have it look professional? The windows were replaced in 2002 and are in great condition.

Sure, but what does the house look like? (picture maybe?)

What is the dark wood finished with or is it painted? You would need a really good undercoat to ensure the darker colour didn't come through or if it is painted maybe a heat gun might be a way to remove all the previous paint. Slow work but worth it.
