Do your crepe myrtles make it thru the winter there in New York?
juansApril 10, 2013
I'm from the south where crepe myrtle is abundant. I've since been transplanted to Ohio and miss the crepe myrtle so much. I'm told it won't grow here. What's your secret? Do you take it inside since it's in a container?

There are varieties of crape myrtle that have been specially bred to survive winters, at least in NYC. I'm not sure how cold it gets there in Ohio. The best thing would be for you to call a local plant nursery and see what's available for your area.
