Crema macarello counters too busy with Ubatuba granite on island?
April 10, 2013 in Design Dilemma
Or should I use Luna Frost or even a dark laminate countetop? We have a large island which will have Ubatuba granite and the base cabinets on the island are espresso maple. The wall cabinets will be Benjamin Moore cloude White. Wall colour likely Shaker Beige. Tile Backsplack of white or off- white subway tiles with an interesting glass tile insert called "Bamboo" which is subtle green stripe.

Any ideas? Thank you. Have to order the final things soon.

I would choose one or the other but not mix the two. Mascarello is a beautiful but very busy granite. I would choose one type of granite for all surfaces or do the Ubatuba on the island and quartz (Silestone, Caesarstone, Cambria) on the perimeter countertops.

Edit: I didn't realize that Creme Mascarello is the name of a laminate countertop. I overlooked this... I think the Ubatuba would look nice on the island with the Creme Mascarello on the perimeter.

Here is a photo of the Creme Mascarello I think you're referring to. It would look nice with Ubatuba.
