WHAT TILE LOOKS BEST WITH A MOSAIC FOCAL POINT

memebeintexasApril 11, 2013
IN THE HOUSE WE ARE BUILDING I HAVE A 48" COOK TOP AND I WANT TO USE A 36 X 24 MARBLE MOSAIC ON THE BACKSPLASH BEHIND THE STOVE. ANY SUGGESTIONS AS TO A FIELD TILE TO FINISH OUT THE REMINDER OF THE BACKSPLASH

I love my 48 inch Jennaire cooktop. Have you considered simply filling the field area with one of the colors of marble in the mosaic? Or frame it out in one marble, like a picture frame, in one color and then fill in the rest with another contrasting marble.
