We like to sleep with the head of our bed raised using risers under the feet of the bedframe at the head. We currently have a queen sized mattress and box spring with no headboard, but we're looking to upgrade to king sized and, while we're at it, coordinate our bedroom better with a new bedroom set. It doesn't seem like we would be able to raise a platform bed up the way we want to, so I'm thinking we'll just have to get a simple headboard that we can secure to the wall. Our style is contemporary/modern. Our bedroom has beige walls and dark hardwood, so we're also hoping to brighten things up with furniture. We're not really DIY people, so we're looking to purchase something, but we're thinking along the lines of IKEA-like prices. The BRIMNES headboard from IKEA is actually interesting, but it doesn't come in king. We also plan to have night stands whether there is storage in the headboard or not. Any suggestions?
