There are two ways to hide wires:
1. Piping/encasement attached to the back of the desk - but where is the outlet?
2. A hole in the wall (behind the console) and then to an outlet somewhere there.
Another idea might be to make a fake panel the size of the back of the console and squeeze it between the console and the wall.

If you have zero budget...you can hang a piece of fabric down the backside of your console for now. It is also very inexpensive to purchase a section of pipe insulating foam from the hardware store. It has a slit to allow it to wrap around pipes to keep them from freezing. Works well for tidying up wires as well. Can bend and attach it to the shape of your console, attaching it with picture hanging wire.

A slight tweak on ASVInteriors' 3rd idea. Make the fake panel, but put it inside the console, almost to the back. Then there's plenty of room for the wires but nobody will see them. You can make the panel from the same paneling as the wall so it "disappears", or some sort of natural material so it goes with the console, or something else and paint it (or cover with cloth) to add some color.

You can easily make the panel from foam core board and cover it in cloth, it will be very lightweight.

Ikea sells a wonderful cord caddy that is made like a slinky - a tube of gray or black or white corrugated plastic with a slit down one side to gather them in easily. Check it out.
