What color paint was used around the front door?
danceoscarApril 18, 2013
We recently purchased a Minnesota cabin built in 1851. It has the rough hewn walls and chinking. About 20 years ago an addition including a drywall kitchen was added. I would love to paint the kitchen this color blue. Thanks!

The color for the door trim (on the inside door that is closed) is a Benjamin Moore Historic Color (HC).
Its specific name is HC-143 "Wythe Blue", and it is a greenish-blue-grey.
Most of the colors in this house were based on colors found in 18th- and 19th-century architectural interiors, as these classic, inviting tones continue to serve us well today.
